Lovely Ladybugs
Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 1:30PM One of our favs, Paper Olive just shared with us that one of the biggest trends she's seeing is with the use of this little creature - the ladybug! We might not have guessed it, but this polka dotted little insect has flown into the world of weddings and is taking it by storm. For a more fun and playful wedding day motif, consider the big impact this small guy has. Oh and a tip, get matching custom postage for the festive finishing touch!

I got married a little over a year ago and my husband and I still have not gone on a honeymoon. We both work at Narconon drug rehab. I work 5 days a week and he works 6 days a week with very little vacation. Any suggestions on where we could go for an extended weekend trip for our honeymoon that is romantic? We should probably go soon or we won't go at all.
Hi Megan,
Congratulations on your wedding! So sorry to hear you haven't been able to take a trip together as of yet. For quick weekend getaways, it really depends on where you live (you left that part out). But there are so many fantastic places perfect for romance that are drive distance from major cities. In CA, take a drive up the coast and go wine tasting in Napa or Sonoma, stay in a little bed and breakfast, and make stops along the way to places like Hearst Castle or Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. If you are in LA, hop a ferry ride to Catalina for the weekend or drive to the desert and hang out by the pool, golf, and spa at La Quinta Resort. Even Coronado Island in San Diego feels like a vacation destination, visit the Hotel Del, go boating, shopping, and hit the beach. Cabo San Lucas is a quick flight away, great for the weekend if you're on the west coast too. Lake Las Vegas even has some fantastic resorts (Ritz Carlton, Loew's), great weather, cheap flights, quick trip, a little gambling, but not the madness of the strip - you certainly feel set apart from the world out there.
This is strange! This is the 3rd big trend I have been unknowingly planning on for my March wedding! :)
So lovely..
How cute!!!
