Cooking 4 the Clueless

Let’s just say when we received a copy of this DVD in the mail, the title intrigued us (and so did the cute packaging, for which we are complete suckers!)…well, me specifically, since they must have known that I am officially clueless in the kitchen.  So, I gave it a shot.  Cooking for the Clueless is truly that…I could handle everything they threw at me.  Yummy pasta and salmon dishes, quick snacks for when unexpected guests pop by, all pretty healthy stuff and it covered all the basics to hide the fact that I am completely culinary-challenged when put to the test.  Did we love the dvd?  So, so…a little slow…but then again that’s probably because time in the kitchen isn’t my most favorite.  But I liked that the recipes were available on their website (and believe it or not, I actually printed out a few of them for my new handy recipe box that I found myself picking up over the weekend).  What’s next?  The Food Network obsession like the rest of the country?  Shopping at Farmer’s Markets for fresh produce for my nightly gourmet dinner?  Probably not…but still, if need be, I can fake the funk in the kitchen better than I could ever before!  I think I’ll be picking up a copy or two for my newly-wedded friends who like me, have more restaurants in speed dial than people we actually know!

ha! if you can hand it over without offending the recipient, it sounds like a wonderful and worthwhile gift! I think everyone wishes they could cook a little more and a little better, but you just need to find that thing that motivates them! this could be it!
